Ivecon Projects was established in 1996 and was known as Iveco Construction.

The Founder Sven Iversen initially started out in the civil engineering field, working on numerous projects such as Lesotho Highlands Water Project, Columbus Stainless steel expansion project in Middleburg for Anglo American Corporation, Various Civil and railway expansion projects for Impala platinum mines and various projects involving the design and installation of township civil services such as roads, water, sewage and storm water services.
